Bring the magic of the Costa Rican rainforest to your house! Featuring the coolest and rarest creatures found in the jungles of Central America. This was designed and illustrated by our 9-year-old son, Orion. We are so proud of him. 90% of the proceeds will go to Orion's college fund, 10% will go to a local NGO protecting the rainforest.
Try to name all the species: In this piece, we have a jaguar, sloth, scarlet macaw, poison frog, coral snake, toucans, squirrel monkey, volcano hummingbird, blue morpho butterfly, hercules beetle, olive ridley turtle, mahi mahi, white lipped peccary, tapir, strawberry poison dart frog, yellow naped parrot, golfo dulce poison dart frog, leaf cutter ant, eyelash viper, and a totally made up animal he calls Bob the Gecko!
Except for that last one, we're hoping to see many of these in the wild as part of our Earth Parade project.
About the Earth Parade collection:
"We are a family of 5 traveling the world and encountering threatened species in the wild. This body of work explores the natural world through simple hand-drawn elements, playfully celebrating the 73 threatened species we encounter on our Earth Parade journey. It comprises a set of limited-edition archival prints featuring original illustrations on museum-quality paper. Perfect for an office, living room, or child's room, this custom illustration is a unique art piece that will add beauty to your space and connect you and your loved ones with the natural world.
Our fine art prints are all made with giclée, museum-quality processes, and paper stock. They come beautifully packaged and signed, and also make an excellent gift item! The prints are 100% cotton with a white background and a smooth, matte finish. They are acid and lignin-free. This one is poster size and is currently available in 1 size: 16 x 20 inches.
